- The American National CattleWomen, Inc. was founded in 1952 as the American National CowBelles, to give women a voice in the beef cattle industry. The name was changed in 1984 to reflect the changing times.
- The American National CattleWomen Inc., has approximately 2,000 members representing cattle women chapters from coast to coast within 28 affiliate organizations.
- The primary focus of ANCW is to support women in the beef industry and to mobilize a network of volunteers providing education and information to consumers about beef as a nutritious food.
- American National CattleWomen, Inc., is an approved contractor of the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion & Research Board and manages two programs in cooperation with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Programs are:
- The American CattleWoman Newsletter, is a quarterly membership newsletter designed to promote and inform members of the organization. The newsletter is published in December March, June and September
- The American National CattleWomen, Inc., works closely with other industry organizations such as the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board, and State Beef Councils to help strengthen our industry.
